Directions

1.To prepare the low carb brownies, preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Line a 9×7-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl mix butter and dark chocolate. Microwave for 30 seconds.

3. Combine the dry ingredients: almond flour, sweetener, dark cocoa powder, baking powder.

4. In a large mixingbowlcrack the eggs and beat with a mixer until frothy. Add vanilla extract, the butter and chocolate mixture and continue mixing.

5. Slowly mix in the dry ingredients, until you get a brownie batter consistency.

6. Transfer the brownie batter to the baking pan and bake for 15-20 minutes. You’ll want to check the low carb brownies from minute 15 to make sure you aren’t overbaking them. The center has to be slightly moist when touching. If you like it runny, a blade inserted in the center should come out with some uncooked batter. Allow to cool down, then cut into squares. Enjoy your keto brownies with almond flour warm or at room temperature!

Note: The more youbeat the eggs, the more the texture of the brownies will be fluffy and “melt-in-your-mouth” delicious.

IT came out great! Very moist, I did make a few changes. I added 1/3 cup of coconut flour, 2 more tablespoons of butter and 1 extra egg. I also added walnuts.

Wonderful! I have only been on Keto for a couple weeks now and I was starting to really crave sweets again! This was perfect! I had to bake mine a bit longer but overall, they were the best solution for brownie lovers like me on keto.

Thank you for this recipe! I have tried using my traditional recipe with erythritol instead of sugar and it just didn’t work, but this is a keeper. Mine didn’t develop a crackly top as I’d hoped, and it needed a lot more bake time, but the end result was certainly worth it.

FAQs

How many carbs do keto brownies have? ›

Fudgy Keto Brownies

These easy one-bowl keto brownies have a secret ingredient to make them extra fudgy and chewy. This might just be the ultimate keto brownie recipe and no one can tell they are low carb and gluten-free. At less than 4g total carbs, you can dig in with gusto!

What's the difference between fudgy and cakey brownies? ›

Fudgy brownies have a higher fat-to-flour ratio than cakey ones. So add more fat—in this case, butter and chocolate. A cakey batch has more flour and relies on baking powder for leavening. The amount of sugar and eggs does not change whether you're going fudgy or cakey.

Why are my brownies never fudgy? ›

Achieving a fudgy brownie is all to do with the ratio of fat to flour. A fudgy brownie recipe will use more fat than flour. Generally this is achieved by adding more butter or real chocolate to your brownie recipe. A cakey brownie recipe on the other hand will call for more flour in the ratio of fat to flour.

How long are box made brownies good for? ›

Brownies will last 3 to 4 days in an airtight container at room temperature and up to a week in the refrigerator. Brownies will last up to 3 months in the freezer, but if they stay frozen for a prolonged period of time, their taste and quality will begin to deteriorate.

What cancels out carbs on keto? ›

Keto Net Carb Diet. On the ketogenic diet, the "net carb" is the amount of carbs in a food minus the fiber and sugar alcohol. Fiber and sugar alcohol are subtracted because the body does not fully absorb them. The keto net carb diet limits daily carbohydrate consumption to 20-50 grams to induce ketosis.

How many carbs ruin keto? ›

Eating more than 50 grams of carbs may disrupt ketosis.

With keto diets, however, carb restrictions vary from person to person. Some people can eat more and still stay in ketosis, whereas others may need to restrict their carb intake more in order to stay in ketosis.

How do you keep brownies fudgy? ›

Airtight Containers

Use parchment paper to layer brownies into an airtight container for best results. Tip: When storing brownies in an airtight container, add a slice of bread in with them. The moisture from the bread will help keep your brownies fresh and soft for a couple more days.

Are fudgy brownies supposed to be gooey? ›

The chewy brownie (center in the photo) is likely the one you know and love. It has—you guessed it—a thick and chewy outer crust with a rich chocolate center. A fudgy brownie (far left in the photo) is slightly underbaked and is very gooey and dense. It is for true chocoholics.

Can I bake brownies at 350 instead of 325? ›

Most recipes call for baking brownies at 350°. If a fudgy inside and crackly top is your goal, stick with that temperature. Brownies baked at 325° will take longer to bake and will become chewier in texture.

Can I put undercooked brownies back in the oven? ›

Put the brownies back in the 300 degree oven and bake until a cooking thermometer reads 195 degrees, or about 30 more minutes.

Can I use 2 year old brownie mix? ›

Using Expired Mix: If the brownie mix is past its expiration date but has been stored properly, it can still be used [2]. However, if the mix contains a leavening agent and is more than a couple of months past its date, it is recommended to add some baking powder to make up for the lost potency [2].

Can you eat 2 week old brownies? ›

Finally, if you think your brownies have gone off, we will always recommend caution. We know our brownies will last for 7 days but cannot speak for other recipes. Eating stale brownies can lead to food poisoning or other health problems. Better to be safe.

Does putting brownies in the fridge make them fudgy? ›

The brownies will continue to set as they cool. This recipe must be served after they've cooled to room temperature completely. In fact, they solidify into even more fudgy brownie bits if you chill them in the fridge before slicing and serving.

Do keto bars have carbs? ›

Perfect Keto Bars

There are only 2 to 3 grams of net carbs and 13 grams of protein in each snack bar. There are no artificial sweeteners, added sugar, dairy, soy, or corn fiber. Perfect Keto Bars are also not made with any sugar alcohols for anyone who may be concerned about their intake.

Do keto meals have carbs? ›

The keto diet typically limits carbs to 20–50 grams per day. While some people on keto count their total carb intake, others count net carbs. Net carbs refer to total carbs minus fiber. That's because fiber is indigestible, so it can't be broken down and absorbed by your body.

What is the carb limit on keto? ›

The ketogenic diet typically reduces total carbohydrate intake to less than 50 grams a day—less than the amount found in a medium plain bagel—and can be as low as 20 grams a day. Generally, popular ketogenic resources suggest an average of 70-80% fat from total daily calories, 5-10% carbohydrate, and 10-20% protein.

Do sugar free brownies have carbs? ›

Sugar-Free Brownie Mix. It's Brownie Time: We've made delicious brownies perfect for last-minute birthdays, and late-night snacking. Our brownies contain 3g net carbs and lots of fiber.
